Tedcor is the only industry player in the Waste Management Industry that has a formal training programme. Tedcor is also affiliated to the Services Education Training Authority (SETA) as well as accredited by UNISA, which means that Tedcor can issue UNISA certificates to candidates who successfully pass their courses. Entrepreneurs are provided with a two week induction program to initiate their businesses as well as UNISA accredited training, at the end of which they receive a Certificate in Small Business Management.
Tedcor employs account managers who provide ongoing mentorship to the entrepreneurs. This takes the form of ongoing operational advice and assistance through regular interaction. In the initial stages of business establishment these meetings are held weekly and are decreased as entrepreneurs become more independent.
